The CWNP Era
Scott left corporate to help launch the pioneering start-up CWNP (Certified Wireless Network Professional), the first vendor-neutral Wi-Fi certification in the world. Scott teamed up with Rick, the guy hand-picked to create CWNA training, and together, they started rewriting the playbook for professional Wi-Fi education.
Peachtree Wireless
As the CWNP program took the industry by storm, Scott launched Peachtree Wireless, serving as the exclusive training and professional services partner for Motorola, Motorola's VARS, and Resellers worldwide.
When The Industry Needed A Trusted Voice, WiTS Stepped Up
Scott and Rick's long-standing partnership is rooted in education and technical mastery. They joined forces to deliver customized wireless training and consulting solutions to a growing client base. Wireless Training & Solutions was officially established, becoming an AirMagnet Academy Training partner and the exclusive Fluke/Netscout WLAN Professional Services Provider.

Chosen by AirMagnet to build their Training Program — setting a new benchmark for professional wireless education and serving Fortune 500 enterprises, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and oil & gas industries worldwide.
Training And Consultation Mastery
Implemented the comprehensive AirMagnet Academy Certification program, created Airmagnet/Fluke's exclusive On-the-Job Training for Site Survey, WLAN Design, and Troubleshooting, and became their go-to WLAN Services provider - setting the standard for professional, vendor-neutral wireless expertise.
Professional Services Expansion
Built and scaled AirMagnet/Fluke Networks' WLAN Professional Services division and created a high-impact Consultation program for Apple SEs and their customers, delivering vendor-neutral expertise that produced measurable results both pre- and post-device deployment.
Enterprise Growth And Recognition As "The Wi-Fi Guys"
Officially, established Wireless Training & Solutions as an independent entity, focusing on getting engineers in the field to solve real WiFi problems. WiTS didn't just support Hertz — we became known across the enterprise as "the Wi-Fi guys." From keeping the top Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty sites running nationwide to partnering with Apple to develop the WiTS Referral Program for APS, we established ourselves as the trusted authority for mission-critical Wi-Fi in high-demand enterprise environments.
Scaling Expertise Globally
We took our expertise nationwide, delivering professional services to top healthcare systems, leading educational institutions, and Fortune 500 companies. We became an Apple Professional Services Provider for Wireless Assessments and teamed up with Philips Healthcare to provide industry-leading 802.11 Survey Services.
Innovation And Adaptation
Pivoted to support critical healthcare infrastructure, ensuring reliable WiFi for telehealth and patient monitoring systems. When COVID-19 hit, we pivoted AirMagnet Academy training to live virtual learning while continuing to deliver Cisco Professional Services for Wireless Assessments and partnering with Philips Healthcare for 802.11 survey projects — keeping enterprise networks running without disruption.

The Founders' Vision
When Rick Murphy and Scott Williams first met through CWNP (Certified Wireless Network Professional), they recognized a critical gap in the wireless industry. While Scott excelled at running CWNP's Learning Partner Channel, and Rick was renowned as CWNP's top trainer and content developer, they both saw that theoretical knowledge alone wasn't enough.
CWNP launched Peachtree Wireless, becoming the exclusive training and professional services partner for Motorola, its VARs, and resellers worldwide.
Rick and Scott began delivering tailored wireless training and consulting solutions for enterprises hungry for real-world results. They were innovators who bridged the gap between theory and practice, teaching engineers, advising enterprises, and delivering networks that just work — no compromises.
When AirMagnet approached them to enhance their training program, Rick and Scott didn't just create courses—they revolutionized wireless education. They implemented the AirMagnet Academy Certification program, developed the On-the-Job Training initiative, and eventually built AirMagnet/Fluke Networks' entire WLAN Professional Services division.
